September 27 Raya Break ‘09 II – SungkaiHere goes the part II of my raya break. Our next plan is actually visiting this exciting hot spring pools at Sungkai as recommended by sis’s fren Kelly. This recreation park is in rural area. It takes sometime for you to get in there seriously. Btw, we hv Meiyie, Joanne, Wan Yen and I in action for this time. FYI, there are few sections in this park and this is the mountain springs pool. The water of this pool is chilly cooling also the largest in the entire park. We tried the hot springs pool first. The water here is rather warm. Here’s the sibeh sui chabo posing like a model like she always does. In fact, the stones are burning hot. This pic looks good but you didn’t know how chabo screamed and ‘jumped like an ant on the hot plate’ after the shot. Massaging our back =) Do notice the BAHAYA danger warning board. This is what the naughty + stubborn kids always do. Yes, we are the ones. This cute little girl is our new fren who actually warned us not to climb on the stones. How shame are we… Another interesting spot of this park would be this Egg Boiling section The very limited space for the visitors to boil the eggs. You may kindly refer to this blue board for the duration to boil the egg. However, I overhead the conversation between an Aunty and a local girl. She actually told the aunty that this suggested duration is no longer accurate since the water heat has decreased over the years. Anyway, I am not sure how true the statement is. Closer look at the boiling eggs compound Patience is so much required during peak season like tat. Many visitors are curious and wanting to try out the hot spring boiled eggs. You hv to wait for your turn for the utensil and oso fight with the sibeh kiasu aunties for it. After almost an hour, we got our eggs cooked eventually. It tastes like heaven with some black pepper on it provided when I am starving. Soaked our HK foot in the 42 to 50 degree Celsius warm water. We moved on to hv the therapy walk. Too bad that we cant even stand longer on the stones so how are we going to walk on it? no No NO. We soaked our body in this 40 degree (if not mistaken, lower/higher than tat?) hot spring. Feels really good! Gently remind you that it is not advisable for you to stay in this pool longer than 30 mins. Here’s end our trip to the Sungkai Hot Springs. It’s worth going and it is apparently suitable for all ages. You can see families with ah Gong, ah Ma and small kids around. Consider to bring your family there for some sweet time? Trust me. It's an ideal place for relaxation. Comments (6)
